About Whitetail Forecast
Whitetail Forecast is a Midwest hunting planning tool. We turn weather and season context into a 0–100 Movement Index with sit windows and factor reasons — so you can compare conditions before you climb. The index is not a sighting or harvest probability, a property-specific prediction, or a promise you will see a deer.
What we build
Hunters already know food, wind, access, and pressure matter. We focus on the weather-timing layer many apps bury inside map suites:
- Live Movement Index for your ZIP or a state baseline city
- Sit windows and plain-language ratings (Excellent → Poor)
- Factor reasons — temperature trend, pressure, wind, moon, season phase, precip/cloud
- State today / best-time hubs for OH, IN, MI, WI, IL, IA, PA, and KY

Honesty bar
- Scores summarize modeled conditions — a planning guide, not a promise you'll see or harvest a deer.
- We have not independently validated a prediction success rate.
- Fair days are often still hunt-worthy when wind and stand are honest.
- State pages are baselines (e.g. Columbus, Springfield); your ridge can differ — run your ZIP.
- Always verify seasons and regulations with your state wildlife agency before you hunt.
